On Saudia (Saudi Arabia), dogs are not allowed in the cabin (except assistance dogs): they travel in the hold, in a compliant crate. Here are the conditions, the allowed weight and the procedure to prepare your companion’s flight.
In the cabin: no
Saudia does not allow dogs in the cabin — assistance dogs are the only exception.
In the hold
Above the cabin limit, your dog travels in a pressurized, heated hold, inside an IATA-compliant crate. Indicative fee: €138–276 (~$160–320).
Airline conditions: hold transport as checked baggage.
How to book
Pet spots on board are limited: book as early as possible.
- Buy your ticket, then contact Saudia to add your dog to the booking.
- Prepare the health documents (microchip identification, rabies vaccination, passport or health certificate, sometimes a rabies titer test) — see our guide to international travel with a dog.
- Choose the right container: an approved soft carrier (cabin) or an IATA crate (hold). Size it with our IATA dog crate calculator.
